The city of Bragança received, last day April 10th, the session of Presentation of the AI Factory at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC), funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan, in an initiative Promoted by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), through its FCT digital services unit and CNCA, in collaboration with local partners..
The event took place at Brigantia EcoPark and brought together around 70 participants, including companies, researchers and institutional representatives, reflecting the region's growing interest in opportunities associated with artificial intelligence and advanced computing.
The session was attended by President of the Bragança Municipal Council, Dr. Isabel Ferreira, Vice-President of the FCT, Eng. Nuno Ferreira, and Director of Brigantia EcoPark, Dr. Jorge Humberto, reinforcing the Alignment between public policies, science, and the business sector in promoting innovation in the territory..
A program focused on innovation and knowledge transfer.
Throughout the afternoon, participants had the opportunity to learn in detail. the resources and services provided by the BSC AI Factoryincluding access to European advanced computing infrastructures, like the Deucalion and the MareNostrum 5, as well as programs to support experimentation and development of solutions based on artificial intelligence.
The agenda includes technical presentations, capabilities demonstrations, and opportunities for direct interaction with experts, promoting knowledge sharing and clarifying doubts about available access and support mechanisms.
