It is still possible for all students to register for the Arquivo.pt Prize 2024. The last day for submissions is May 6th.
The initiative goes beyond educational institutions and is open to anyone who wants to sign up, regardless of their professional situation or level of education.
€15,000 in prizes
In total, the Archive Prize has €15,000 to recognize works and projects that use the information preserved by this service of the Foundation for Science and Technologydeveloped through the unit FCCN.
Although it is not limited to the academic world, the opportunity is unique for national students, whether from primary, secondary or higher education, and there are no restrictions on participation. Entries can be made individually or in groups and must be accompanied by a text and a short video describing what has been done.
1st place - 10.000€
2nd place - 3.000€
3rd place - 2.000€
Honorable mentions
In this edition, three honorable mentions will also be awarded. The first is the responsibility of the initiative's media partner , the newspaper Público, and will be awarded to works focusing on content from this publication preserved on Arquivo.pt.
The Aveiro Media Competence Center (AMCC) consortium will also award an honorable mention, this time to projects on Portuguese online media. Finally, the DNS.pt Association (.PT) will reward teachers who encourage students to apply for this award.
Over the last six years, the Arquivo.pt Prize has awarded almost €100,000 in prizes to innovative projects. The distinguished works are characterized by the diversity of the areas to which they belong - Education, History, Sociology, Communication, Health or Information Technology are just a few examples.
