The Future Talent Program is a unique opportunity for students and young professionals from various countries to develop their public speaking and presentation skills. Applications must be submitted by January 28th.
This is an initiative of GÉANT, the pan-European data network for the research and education community, which links the different national research and education networks (NRENs). In Portugal, the representative of this network is FCCNa unit of the Foundation for Science and Technology, which is responsible for registering all students interested in the program.
Future Talent 2024 consists of practical and interactive workshops, which will take place between March and May and will provide a safe environment for participants to develop their communication skills and create networking opportunities among themselves. The end result of this learning process will be revealed in a video recorded by each participant, which will then be posted on GÉANT's communication channels.
Participants will be able to take to the stage at TNC24
Some of the students and young professionals in the program will be selected to present their idea/project in a Lightning Talk at TNC24 - the largest and most prestigious research and education networking conference, which will take place in Rennes, France, from June 10 to 14, 2024. Lightning Talk proposals must be submitted by March 10, 2024 and focus on an area related to technology or networks.
Who can apply for the program
All students enrolled on a course related to Information Technology and networks at a university or educational establishment are eligible. They can also be joined by any young professional working in these areas.
All participants must be nominated by a GÉANT member NREN - in Portugal, FCCN. Each NREN can select and support the registration of up to 3 candidates.
Applications until January 28th
Those interested have until January 28 to ensure their registration, which must be submitted by the NREN in their country. In Portugal, those interested should send their application to the following email address: c.imagem@fccn.pt.
