OnJanuary 19, the Portuguese Delegation and the European Commission will hold an information event and clarify all questions aboutthe Digital Europe Programme.
In webinar format, the event starts at 14:30 and aims to support potential national applicants to the DIGITAL Programme calls for proposals and public administration entities that may benefit from the Programme's community co-financing opportunities.
The Digital Europe Programme is part of the Multiannual Financial Framework 2021-2027 of the European Union, a programme focused on building the Union's strategic digital capabilities. It aims to raise digital innovation, disseminate and apply the best proposals and advanced digital skills, as well as the development of European capacity in the areas of high performance computing.
It is important to identify national activities funded by the State budget, the Recovery and Resilience Plan or the Structural Funds, which align with the strategic objectives of the Digital Europe Programme and which can benefit from the available support, considering that EU co-financing will be allocated in a competitive way between Member States and associated countries.
The programme will boost investments in five interrelated specific objectives:
- High Performance Computing (approximately ¤ 2,227 million);
- Artificial intelligence, data and cloud (approximately EUR 2 062 million);
- Cyber security and trust (approximately EUR 1,650 million);
- Advanced digital skills (approximately EUR 577 million);
- Implementation, better use of digital capacity and interoperability (approximately 1,072 million euros).
