Sctomic security incidents response service from Science Technology and Society Network - RCTS organisationor a "Capture The Flag”, between 4 e August 6th, with a duration of 50 hours.
The event was composed of 21 challenges, and had 46 teams registered, of which 27 solved at least one of the proposed activities. The exercises presented focused on techniques such as reverse engineering, cryptography, web hackingoperations or forensic analysis. Other challenges were developed in the areas of steganography and wifi. All participation was exclusively remote.
The CTF was defeated by team xSTF (xstf.pt), composed by students from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto, who solved all the challenges in just over 6 hours. In second and third place were the teams "iamroot” e “TeamRocketIst” who also fully solved all 21 challenges - although at intervals of timees.
O feedback from the participants, whom we thank for their participation, was very positive, which is a strong incentive to organize another event of this type, next year.
