Online training takes place on 17 December and addresses the challenges of collaborative research and education in the context of the European General Data Protection Regulation.
Federated authentication "requires the sharing of some personal data". And this data sharing implies the need to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This is the starting point for the webinar promoted by GÉANT on 17 December: Managing one-click access for students, teachers and researchers in the age of GDPR.
Through this training, GÉANT explains, it will be possible to learn how data protection requirements are met (such as data minimalization or privacy by design, for example), knowing the code of conduct of the various national research and education networks, such as the RCTS (Science, Technology and Society Network).
On the other hand, reinforces the international organization, this is also an opportunity to "offer contributions to that same code of conduct", by sharing suggestions for improvements.
