RCTS with more secure routing
The network managed by the FCCN unit (RCTS - Rede Ciência, Tecnologia e Sociedade) activated the validation of the origin of routes received from the Internet at the beginning of January 2021.

FCCN is the first NREN connected to GÉANT's next-generation network
On June 25, a direct access at a speed of 100Gbps was activated between RCTS, the national research and education network managed by FCT, through the Unit FCCN, and the European network GÉANT.
