The University of Coimbra hosted the 8th edition of the Research Data Management (RDM) Forum, which brought together 127 participants.
The 25th and 26th of November marked the face-to-face event in Coimbra, which was once again well attended, with moments of sharing and debate.
Since 2016, the Unit's Open Access Scientific Repository FCCN has been promoting community meetings. It aims to bring together those involved in activities that support the management of research data, with the aim of capitalizing on knowledge and practices and developing technical skills for professionals and researchers in the field.
This forum included 3 training and capacity building workshops , current and relevant. One of the workshops was dedicated to Data Management Plans, with the aim of supporting research support staff. The second workshop focused on Data Curation in Repositories, namely on workflows and services. The third workshop revealed Institutional Policies and Strategies for IDM, providing an analysis of benchmark policies and a proposed framework for implementing an institutional policy.
This year's GDI edition also included the usual "Coffee with Data" session, which this time addressed the theme of Data Protection, Security and Sensitive Data.
With the annual Forum, RCAAP aims to ensure good security practices, provide the best tools to apply them and promote knowledge sharing.
Another highlighted topic was the Flash Talks: a moment of debate on the most current initiatives and emerging projects, where it is possible to build and prepare resources that assist our community in its daily activity.
If you were not present and want to consolidate your knowledge in the area of GDI, you can still watch all the presentations and recordings, available on the website.
