The presence of the FCCN Unit in Mozambique focused on the areas of Open Science, Science Management and Security.
During the week of November 11-15, the FCCN Unit of the Foundation for Science and Technology took part in three events in Maputo, with the aim of sharing its experiences and practices in the areas of Open Science, Science Management, Security and MOOCs (Massive Online Open Courses).
The fact that the MoRENet Conference, the Cybersecurity Summit and the second Open Science seminar were held in the same week allowed this "cross-participation", making it possible to approach several target audiences.
The Director of the Advanced Services Area of the FCT's National Scientific Computing Unit, João Gomes, made presentations on the topics "Nau Platform - Always learning" and "Sharing the CERT experience of the Portuguese Academic and Scientific Network".
The Director of the Scientific Knowledge Area of the same unit, João Mendes Moreira, presented the Open Science and science management initiatives in Portugal, and also gave a workshop on science management where the PTCRIS program, Ciência ID and CIÊNCIAVITAEwere addressed.
Mozambique is already the third country with the most registered registrations, after Portugal and Brazil. It should also be noted that this collaboration anticipates the spirit of the theme of the next Portuguese Presidency of the EU, which will be Europe-Africa.
