Politécnico de Leiria will host the 11th edition of the Jornadas de Computação Científica (Days on Scientific Computing), on 21st, 22nd and 23rd April.
After the University of the Azores hosted the Scientific Computing Days in Ponta Delgada in 2019, Leiria will be the meeting place for the community connected to the services and projects of the National Scientific Computing Unit of the Foundation for Science and Technology. The work will take place at the Escola Superior de Tecnologia e Gestão do Politécnico de Leiria - a higher education institution which directly supports the eleventh edition of these days.
For three days, from 21-23 April, those involved in providing advanced infrastructure and services to the higher education and research community will present the latest news and updates to the user and partner community. The programme willalso include various demonstrations, meetings and workshops.
The main addressees of the Scientific Computing Days are those responsible for computer, library, documentation or archive services in higher education institutions, as well as directors and those responsible for the implementation of Science and those in charge of research units.
In 2019, the tenth edition of the Days of Scientific Computing registered 523 registrations, an increase of 5% compared to the 2018 edition.More information will be released soon and open registrations.
