On April 15, 16 and 17, the Madeira Congress Center and the Pestana Casino Park in Funchal will host the 15th edition of the Jornadas FCCN: the largest gathering of the research and higher education community.
It's already possible to book your place on this new edition and so that you can do so in the most informed way, we share some testimonies from those who have attended the Jornadas FCCN in previous years.
Susana Lopes, head of the Library at the Nova School of Business & Economics, NOVA University Lisbon, told us about her experience in the 2023 edition.
Topics in this article:
What motivated you to attend the event in 2023?
What motivated me was learning about the initiatives of the FCCN team. I really enjoyed the PTCRIS team's session, as it covered topics that are relevant to me and to the work I do with researchers. It's always good to be kept up to date in order to better respond to the needs of our community.
What did you take away from the event?
The B-on, PTCRIS and project zapping sessions always have information that is relevant and useful for the work I do. As well as learning about the development of the projects, it was very interesting to see the good practices shared by some of the colleagues invited to the various sessions.
Do you think the Jornadas FCCN are important for the national teaching and research community?
Yes, I consider the days to be an important event for the community. On the one hand, it's undeniable that it's an event with a high level of participation from the community and, therefore, it's also a time for colleagues to meet. On the other hand, it's a time for sharing knowledge.
What do you expect from the 2024 edition?
I believe it will once again be a success, with the added bonus of conviviality.
Susana Lopes concludes by saying that "the Jornadas FCCN are a time to meet colleagues and share experiences".
