RCAAP is managed and executed by the FCT's National Scientific Computing unit, with the support of the University of Minho.
Who is it intended for?
Institutions may join the RCAAP service:
- Higher Education
- Research and Development
- Non-profit Institutions that have as their main objective Research and Development activities.
About RCAAP
RCAAP plays an important role in promoting the adoption of the open access movement to scientific knowledge in Portugal and in increasing the visibility of the results of Portuguese academic and scientific activity.
This role is materialized through numerous services, in particular the RCAAP portal and the Institutional Repositories Hosting Service - SARI.
The RCAAP portal provides access to thousands of scientific journal articles, communications, theses and dissertations, among other types of articles, which are scattered across numerous Portuguese repositories and scientific journals of national higher education entities and other Research & Development organizations. SARI is provided in SaaS, freeing institutions from the burden of managing a service of this nature and allowing them to focus on the management of scientific information produced in their institution.
Terms of Use
RCAAP is open to the participation of all institutions of the Portuguese scientific and higher education system.
The institutions that currently participate in the RCAAP project, as well as the respective repositories can be consulted through the Portal directory.
